MIDDLETON, Manchester, based  Anthony K Associates, which has more than 25 years of business car leasing expertise, will now receiving full back office support as a Fleet Alliance Appointed Representative.

While Anthony K will continue to operate as a limited company led by Rod Hallworth, it will now source its funding lines from Fleet Alliance, which will also provide sales fulfilment and account management from the company’s Glasgow headquarters. All customer facing material will also be branded Fleet Alliance.

During Q3 Fleet Alliance has been actively expanding its Appointed Representative (AR) programme – already the largest in the leasing broker sector – to capitalise on what it considers will be a significant upswing towards electrified company cars.

Martin Brown, Managing Director of Fleet Alliance, said: “We are delighted that Anthony K Associates has become a Fleet Alliance AR. The business is hugely respected and has vast experience in selling business contract hire to fleet customers.

“They are exactly the sort of broking business we are seeking for our AR programme – dedicated, consultative, and willing to embrace the opportunities presented by electric vehicles. We warmly welcome Rod and his team to the Fleet Alliance family.”

Anthony K has a long history of working with Fleet Alliance. For the past 15 years it has used the Fleet Alliance funding panel to supplement its own suite of funders. But it will now become a fully integrated AR.

Managing Director Rod Hallworth said: “It’s very exciting for us as we enter a new period for the company. Tony Nugent, who founded Anthony K, had already decided to step back from the business, so it seemed the right moment to join Fleet Alliance as an AR.

“As a team we can focus on the things we like and do best – talking to customers – rather than the laborious back-end processes, which will now be performed by Fleet Alliance. It means we can continue to grow our business rather than grow our administrative staff numbers at a time when we are already seeing great interest in SMEs wanting to switch into EV company cars.”

Anthony K has just moved from its Rochdale office back into premises in Middleton, Manchester, where it originally started trading. The transfer to AR status is expected to be fully completed by the end of September.

Fleet Alliance, which manages a fleet in excess of 30,000 vehicles, said it would continue to strengthen its portfolio of ARs during the rest of Q3 and Q4.
