CARLEASE UK has been building on its success as a Leasing Broker Federation Award winner, seeing an increase in interest in its electric vehicle proposition.

The group now comprises CarLease UK, VanLease UK and eCarLease UK and is a genuine family owned car and van leasing company with over 60 years’ of automotive industry experience.

The team aims to provide consistently competitive funding options on most makes/models of cars and commercial vehicles, including Business and Personal Contract Hire, as well as Personal Contract Purchase and Finance Lease.

The electric vehicle take-up has been led by Rob King, who has recently received the Highly Commended award in the Best Green Leasing Broker Award.

Rob has invested considerable amounts of time and effort into EV’s for the last two years. He is actively involved in the Lets-Experience-Electric Steering Group with the Greater Manchester Chamber and has been working closely with the Green Car Guide

His efforts are now paying off and alternative fuel vehicles have become a key part of the company’s offering.

More recently the CarLease team decided upon a separation of the combustion engine options and the purely electric vehicles, creating a new electric car lease website

It is not just customer’s making car changes. The workforce is also making a move towards electric cars with three team members now leasing electric vehicles (a Tesla 3, Volkswagen e-Golf and Hyundai Ioniq).

This has provided an invaluable insight into EVs and customers are now benefiting from this hands-on expertise.

The business often features as a top-rated Leasing Broker on Trustpilot (currently number 1). Review websites are now so fundamental to any business and recognition on a leading reviewed website, like Trustpilot, provides comfort to the customer that they are working with a business which emphasises customer service and satisfaction as priority.

Trustpilot now generates a steady stream of enquiries for the CarLease team.

In order to support local customers, the CarLease has installed a ChargePoint Dual Port Wall Mount 22kW charge point. Not only does this fuel the eCarLease fleet but it also provides a great example for potential customers to trial.

The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) recognised this interest and put together an article on the electric car leasing business.

The GMCC is heavily involved in Manchester’s Clean Air Zone and the long-term vehicle strategies and have been collaborating on the Let’s Experience Electric roadshows across the region.

GMCC is utilising a number of businesses to help educate the wider public on the changes within the UK and present the different solutions to them; this isn’t just about cars but will also include LCVs, HGVs buses and bikes.

With ambitious Government plans to move away from combustion engines by 2035, GMCC is helping to keep Manchester at the forefront of any changes.
