DESPITE a downturn in trade during he coronavirus lockdown, Exeter based leasing broker, Carparison, has completed a successful recruitment drive adding six new team members, with additional role openings already planned for the coming months.

The new members bolster the skills and experience across existing teams in sales, administration, pricing and marketing. Total employee headcount now sits at 17; marking over 400% growth since the business started in December 2018.

The recruitment includes the appointment of a new Commercial Sales Manager to underpin Carparison’s ambitions to grow its market offering into commercial as well as passenger vehicles. As well as facilitating comprehensive fleet support, the new appointee is responsible for working with businesses big and small to ensure their fleet is both fit-for-purpose and effectively funded.

Matt Woodward, Carparison General Sales Manager, said: “Each new team member brings a host of skills that will be crucial to continue the growth of our business and each will be central to our future success”

The Carparison team returned safely to their head offices in line with the reopening of vehicle dealerships on 1st June. This followed a number of months with a reduced team working from home while others remained employed under the furlough scheme.

The team’s return to work also followed the successful launch of Carparison’s new, bespoke website in April.

Woddward added: “For both our workforce and our customers, we felt it was imperative to ensure our teams could return to our head office as soon as it was safe to do so. The safety measures put in place allowed us to return to full strength and therefore provide the best possible service to our customers as demand for our services reignited post lockdown.

“Not only did this allow our pre-existing team to return in full, but also allowed us to complete the recruitment drive that had started pre-lockdown.”
