SILVERSTONE Fleet Management held its first family fun day in support of local charity Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

The weather was against them on the day, but 50 people including friends and family and local businesses attended the event and they raised over £500 for the charity.

Scott Norville MD at SFM said: “The day was a great success despite the bad weather. Over the afternoon we raised an amazing £518 for our charity which all the team are thrilled with. This was our first family fun day and we look forward to next year.’

Chelsea Galpin from Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity said: “It actually costs £504 for a day’s care for a patient, and Silverstone have funded a day with their family BBQ, which is great.”

Cynthia Spencer Hospice provide specialist palliative care to adults with life-limiting illnesses in South Northamptonshire, both within their in-patient unit and in patients’ own homes through their community services.
