THE South Yorkshire branch of JCT600 has been awarded national ‘Fleet Team of the Year’ by Mercedes-Benz UK. In addition, Tony Dent, the team’s market area fleet manager, has also been presented with a separate ‘Fleet Manager of the Year’ award.
The annual awards are open to 33 market areas within the Mercedes-Benz UK network. Their aim is to recognise excellence in areas such as customer service, new business development, and professional account management.
Entrants to the awards were measured not only by sales performance; key account management and customer satisfaction levels along with commitment to Mercedes-Benz campaigns were also taken into consideration.
Sheffield based Tony Dent has won the Fleet Manager of the Year title before in 2010 and has been shortlisted each year since.

Sheffield Mercedes-Benz head of business for JCT600, Ian Davies, said;
“This is an absolutely fantastic result and well-deserved recognition of the excellent team we have built up in South Yorkshire – we have seen impressive growth over the last five years and during 2013 we achieved a total volume increase of 36%.
“The judges commended us for our consistency in maintaining and developing key accounts, our impressive growth over 2013 and our overall performance against targets whilst maintaining exceptionally high levels of customer service.
“The whole team should be proud of their part in helping us to achieve this prestigious award and, of course, a special mention must go to Tony once again for his outstanding performance.”
The awards will presented at a Mercedes-Benz ceremony due to take place at the Globe Theatre, London, on 13th February.
