ULTRA-flexible leasing firm SOGO has kicked-off its ambassador programme with England and Leicester Tigers legend Austin Healey.
Healey had 51 caps for England and two Lions caps, along with a long-career with Leicester Tigers. Since retiring from the sport, he has built a successful media career.
SOGO has also appointed Tristan Downs as its first head of remarketing. He will manage the defleet and disposal of the company’s fast-growing fleet.
Downs has previously held senior roles in sales and remarketing at FCA along with Vauxhall and dealer groups. He will work closely with operations across the leasing company to ensure whole life costs are optimised and manufacturers’ brands protected.
SOGO has announced that over 35% of its fleet will be electric vehicles, and it anticipates this will increase over the coming months. It argues that motorists who can use an electric vehicle for a month on a short lease will be convinced by the low running costs and driving dynamics.
The business is a new mobility provider that offers an innovative leasing model in the UK for SMEs, micro-businesses and corporates. It provides an ultra-flexible service with leases available from one month to four years and has built a fleet of around 5,000 vehicles.
It uses the technology to give a digital-led service that allows customers to order a vehicle in a matter of minutes. It is also creating a customer service centre in Milton Keynes to ensure all customers are supported with the ability to speak to a team member on the phone.
