SOGO supports growth plans with senior hires

MOBILITY provider SOGO has made two key hires to support its ambitious growth plans with Mike Pearce joining as director of operations and Lee O’Connell as sales director.

SOGO has a new flexible  leasing model aimed at SMEs, micro-businesses and corporates is . Pearce was previously head of brand at BCA market place and commercial director at Autologic. O’Connell was previously sales director at Agility Fleet and held roles at Vauxhall.

Karl Howkins, managing director of SOGO, said: “The response from industry to our ultra-flexible leasing model is very positive, and we are building a fleet that will meet the myriad requirements of businesses across the UK. Mike and Lee bring a huge amount of experience and enthusiasm to the team and a focus on building a business that offers something truly new and exciting to the market.”

SOGO said it will provide ultra-flexible service with leases available from one month to four years and plans to build a fleet of around 5,000 vehicles in its first year.

The latest technology will be used to give a digital-led service that will allow customers to order a vehicle in a matter of minutes. It will operate nationally with a network of logistics hubs.

SOGO customers can benefit from a subscription model that includes comprehensive insurance, maintenance, breakdown cover and industry-leading flexibility. A consumer launch will follow the roll-out to businesses.
