VANARAMA has become the first major leasing company to implement Ebbon-Dacs’ new Stockviewer platform to manage its stock vehicles, special offers and tactical sales campaigns.

The online business leases more than 51,000 vehicles to over 40,000 customers across the UK. It’s e-commerce platform enables customers to lease vans, pickup trucks and cars online as well providing a range of insurance options to go with their vehicle.

Stockviewer, which was launched last summer, provides a single, web-based technology platform to upload, manage and ultimately sell large numbers of stock and campaign vehicles, and is aimed at an audience of leasing companies, leasing brokers, dealers and vehicle manufacturers.

Although stock and tactical sales campaigns are commonplace throughout the industry, Ebbon-Dacs’ analysis has shown that many are still managed through inefficient, outdated methodology such as spreadsheets, which have the drawback of not providing a ‘live’ view of vehicle stocks available to the sales channels responsible for selling them.

To identify a more efficient and fully automated alternative, Vanarama Chief Commercial Officer, Jo Elms, headed up a selection and implementation project which showed Ebbon-Dacs’ Stockviewer solution was transparent, easy to use and kept all parties up to date with the latest vehicle movements in real time so that errors of duplication were eradicated.

She said: “We feel Stockviewer is the perfect platform for us to create and manage our own special campaigns. Its real time capability increases efficiencies and automates all of our internal process, which is just what we wanted.”

Stockviewer provides full, real time visibility of the status of all stock held so that all buyers and sellers have the latest information on stock and vehicle availability, which also ensures vehicle order duplication is avoided.

The platform allows multiple stock vehicles to be loaded and updated quickly and efficiently without rekeying, thus saving time and resources. A quick, intelligent search facility enables specific vehicles to be easily located.

For users of Ebbon-Dacs’ e-procurement platform, Leaselink, Stockviewer is integrated within the platform –  providing users with the ability to have all vehicle orders in one place and avoiding the need for duplication.

Stockviewer can also work independently of Leaselink and users do not have to belong to the Leaselink community to enjoy the full benefits of using the new platform.

Michael Terry, Head of Commercial for Ebbon-Dacs, commented: “We are delighted that Vanarama has become the first major player to select Stockviewer to handle all its sales campaigns.
